About Me

Hi, I’m Charlene

Motherhood wasn't something I could take for granted.

Both of my pregnancies were high-risk, and I spent months caught between hope and fear wondering if everything would be okay, researching every possible outcome, and trying to prepare for the unpredictable. When my babies finally arrived safely, the relief was overwhelming. But so was the anxiety.

I remember lying awake, checking their breathing, second guessing every decision I made. And then there was the exhaustion. The kind that seeps into everything, your patience, your confidence, your sense of who you are. I was running on empty and wondering why something as "natural" as sleep felt so impossibly hard.

What I needed wasn't just a sleep plan. I needed someone who understood that every sleepless night carried more than just exhaustion. I needed compassionate support from someone who recognised the worries that can follow a difficult pregnancy, and who could guide me with kindness, patience, and reassurance.

That experience changed how I approach sleep consulting entirely. I trained and certified as an infant sleep consultant because I wanted to help other parents, but my why runs deeper than qualifications. I do this because I know what it feels like to need support that actually feels safe. To want guidance without judgment. To desperately need rest, but also to need reassurance that you're doing the right thing for your baby.

Now, as a busy mum of two little ones, I'm still navigating the chaos of early parenthood, the play groups, the juggling act, the mental load. I don't have all the answers, but I do have empathy, experience, and a genuine passion for supporting mums who are feeling the way I once did.

If you've come through a difficult pregnancy and you're finding sleep harder than you ever imagined, I want you to know you're not alone, you're not failing, and you absolutely deserve support.

How I Can Help

I don't believe in one size fits all sleep training. Every baby is different, every family is different, and every mum's emotional needs are different, especially when anxiety is part of the picture.

My approach is gentle, responsive, and always tailored to you. I'll never ask you to do anything that feels wrong for your baby or pushes you outside your comfort zone before you're ready. We move at your pace. We troubleshoot together. And if something isn't working, we adjust without blame or pressure.

When you work with me, you're not just getting a sleep plan. You're getting a safe space to share your worries, ask "silly" questions (there aren't any), and feel genuinely supported through one of the most exhausting seasons of your life. I'll be in your corner checking in, reassuring you, and celebrating every small win along the way.

I understand that for anxious mums, sleep struggles are rarely just about sleep. They're tangled up with fears, with the weight of responsibility, with wanting so desperately to get this right. My role is to untangle some of that with you and give you the tools, the confidence, and the emotional support to help your little one sleep better while looking after yourself too.

Whether you're preparing for your baby's arrival or you're deep in the trenches of sleep deprivation, I'm here to help you feel more rested, more confident, and more like yourself again.
